Deadline for proposal submission March 30th
The city has been a hero of several work of fiction and the more urbanised world we live in the more visible it will become across the artistic production. Gotham city in Batman, Dublin in Ulysses or Weegee’s photographs of New York as well Fritz Lang’s Metropolis are just few examples.
We invite artists to relate their project about Cairo to a specific existing artwork that has the city or architecture as a main subject.
The deadline for sending proposals or projects that can include concept description, sketches etc. is March 30th.
After the submission selected participants will be invited for a workshop sessions every two weeks working on creating their projects until the end of April.
The work will be shown during an exhibition on May, 26th at MEGAWRA al-Khalifa
The workshop days : 9th, 16th and 23rd of April
From 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

أخر موعد لتقديم المقترحات 30 مارس
لعبت المدينة دور البطولة في العديد من الأعمال الفنية والدرامي، فكلما إزداد العالم تحضراً، صار المنتج الفني أكثر وضوحاً. و الأمثلة كثيرة بين باتمان من مدينة جوثام، يوليسيس من دابلن وصور ويجي من نيويورك و مدينة فريتز لانج.
"كوكب الرسامين" بالتعاون مع "مجاورة"، يقوم بدعوة الفنانين لطرح مشاريع فنية، تلعب فيه المدينة (القاهرة) دور البطولة. (كالأمثلة في الفقرة السابقة)
أخر موعد لإستلام المقترحات أو المشاريع و التي تتضمن شرح للفكرة، رسومات، صور… إلخ، يوم ٣٠ مارس ٢٠١٦.
سيتم دعوة الفنانين الذين وقع عليهم الإختيار، إلي جلسات ورشة عمل كل إسبوعان، للعمل علي بلورة المشاريع، حتي أخر شهر إبريل. وسيتم عرض الأعمال من خلال معرض فني في مقر "مجاورة" الخليفة يوم ٢٦ مايو.
الورشة ايام ٩، ١٦، ٢٣ إبريل
من الساعة ٢:٠٠ ظهراً إلي ٦:٠٠ مساءً
