Week of Regional Climate Action | Film screening

Africa and the Arab World are most affected by climate change, so come and join the “We Fight Climate change” regional climate mobilisation happening 25 September – 2
October, in 15 countries across Africa and the Arab World coordinated by 350.org

As part of this regional week of action, 350Egypt, Egyptians Against Coal, AYCM Egypt and Megawra invite you to attend a discussion and double film screening
on Thursday, 1st October at Megawra Khalifa, between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.:
1. A Siege of Salt and Sand (Short Documentary: Tunisia is beset by climate chaos such as rising sea levels, desertification, water scarcity, and loss of species. Two filmmakers, Radhouane Addala and ST McNeil, are traveling across Tunisia to visualize the fallout of climate change today in North Africa.)
2. The Bliss of Ignorance (Short documentary: Director Simon Waller shows the impact of South Africa’s coal-fired power stations on public health through stories from local communities)

Attendees will also get the opportunity to be part of a group photo with a banner that will be shared with media, to mark Egypt participation in the week of action.
