The “Buyut al-Khalifa” development project is a three-year project aimed at rehabilitating and developing 19 houses, including two historical buildings, across an area of 3,000 square meters on al-Rukabiyya Street. It also includes the development of a public space extending over 1,200 square metres, enhancing the urban fabric of the area and improving the quality of life for its residents, with their active participation in the project.
We are thrilled to launch the ERTH – Athar Lina Heritage and Climate Project Instructional Toolkit Videos on YouTube.
This toolkit is a key resource that explores the intersection of heritage conservation and climate action, highlighting our work in Historic Cairo through the ERTH – Athar Lina Heritage and Climate Project.
The videos offer insights on the impact of climate change on heritage while demonstrating practical conservation techniques and strategies to address and mitigate its effects.
The seven videos use real-life examples from the conservation of the Safiyy al-Din Jawhar and Yahya al-Shabih domes.
It is designed to inform and inspire how we can collectively work towards resilient and sustainable heritage conservation.
