Ain Shams Neighborhood Initiative | Closing Presentation

Interdisciplinary research by Ain Shams University faculty and students focuses on the neighbourhood of al-‘Abbasiyya, in which the campus is located, in order to identify modalities of research that lead to an outreach and development program of short and long-term interventions to benefit the neighbourhood either socially, culturally, or economically. This applied research approach in turn enriches the university academically feeding into the research topics of its staff and graduate students and the curricula of its undergraduate and graduate programs rendering them more relevant, deep and impactful.
