Al-Khalifa Greening Tour and Workshop

Join us for a tour in al-Khalifa neighbourhood and get introduced to our urban greening projects, heritage conservation efforts, public space revitalization, and heritage education. We will take you on a tour to explore Athar Lina Initiative’s projects, starting from al-Saliba Street, where we will visit the initiative’s latest conservation sites and conclude at al-Khalifa Park, one of the initiative’s most significant urban development projects.

The tour will be followed by a workshop inside al-Khalifa Park. The workshop will offer insights into suitable crops for urban farming, techniques for gardening in small spaces, and the basics of composting.

To sum up, a delightful gardening activity is ready for your family to enjoy. You will decorate some pots and plant herb seedlings to take home!

This event aims to promote sustainable and community engagement practices in preserving Cairo’s environment and heritage.
