Computational Design | Workshop A | Grasshopped!

A very short introduction for Rhino’s Grasshopper and how its different concepts are applied. The Workshop mainly addresses the logic in using the plug-in rather than just learning the tool. Grasshopper is a parametric tool tightly integrated in Rhino (3d modeling software) which enables algorithmic capabilities in architecture sense.

Grasshopper is a graphical algorithm editor tightly integrated with Rhino’s 3-D modeling tools, Grasshopper requires no knowledge of programming or scripting, but still allows designers and architects to easily generate different forms.

There will a small exhibition of selected works and the winner will be 3d printed.

M.Hassan holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Ainshams University with honor and awarded Clemson University graduation participation. He is currently a teaching assistant at FUE and a founding member of MEAGWRA (the architectural hub).

Ahmed Rihan is a young architect and researcher, He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Ainshams University with honor and awarded Clemson University graduation participation, he participated in many national and international competitions and workshops, he was awarded some architectural contests, he is currently a teaching assistant at Future University in Egypt (FUE).
