F2F showcase: Universe travel

A strange creature moves down the street.. Noisy and chaotic… steered by a weird-looking crew. What is this appearance? It is “Universe Travel Inc”, a traveling circus/theatre experiment, lost in time and space. The show is a sneak preview of a work in progress, the preliminary result of six artists´ ongoing explorations of circus, theatre, and objects.

The show is presented for the end-of-year celebrations and conclusion of Mahatat’s Face to Face programme. Mahatat for contemporary arts welcomes you to join in one of Cairo’s old neighborhoods, at the Gayer Anderson museum, on Saturday 22 December, from 3-5pm, in a carnival day of fun and entertainment.

(Face to Face) is a learning program launched by Mahatat for contemporary art in 2018 for the emerging street artists in Egypt. It is a multidisciplinary learning program where we incubate artists for performance in public spaces and provide them with the necessary artistic, management and technical skills through a series of specialized workshops to produce a complete street art display.

Megawra: The Built Environment Collective is an Egyptian non-profit organization that seeks to strengthen the sense of community between practitioners, academics, and students of architecture and urbanism.
