Quseir through the eyes of the present and the past

This exhibition contains the work produced duing sketching workshop that took place from Feb. 3 to Feb. 7, 2017 in the Red Sea coastal city of Quseir. The workshop aimed at exploring the past and present of the city through its relationship with the sea, its history as a trade city and the city’s architectural styles. This workshop was organised by Megawra in partnership with Cairo Urban Sketchers, and Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Goethe-Institut within the Robert Bosch Cultural Managers Program and in cooperation with the local partner the center for training and social development (Carpe Vitam Egypt).

The workshop explored the following three themes through the city, its residents, and the participants’ experiences:
– Quseir and its travel narratives
– Quseir and the history of its historic buildings
– Quseir and the sea
