Ramadan Decorations Workshop

Remember how we used to celebrate Ramadan by making our own decorations and hanging them in the street and in our homes? Athar Lina Initiative invites you to a family workshop to make Ramadan decorations and revive beautiful memories and traditions and share them with your children. Athar Lina Initiative has worked in the historic neighbourhood of al-Khalifa since 2012 on conservation and rehabilitation of heritage, heritage education, and developmental activities using heritage as a resource. Many of these activities are in partnership with the women and children of al-Khalifa and they will be joining us in this workshop to make decorations and hang them in the street.
We start at 2.00 pm and finish at 7.00 pm and we will make five types of decoration that fit all ages and skills.
And you get to take samples of the decoration you made home!
We will be delighted if you join us and al-Khalifa’s residents in this joyous activity.
