We were honored to receive a visit from H.E. Ambassador Sergio Roman Carranza, Ambassador of Spain in Egypt, accompanied by an AECID delegation. We had the pleasure of introducing our multidisciplinary work, and mandate of heritage as a driver for development.

Together we visited the Safiyy al-Din Jawhar Dome and the water harvesting and use in greening interventions, and residential building restoration taking place in the vicinity of the dome as part of different projects coming together in the neighbourhood.

We visited the community women and youth at the Heritage Workspace which form part of our socio-economic development program within the creative industries. Showcasing the output of co-design workshops and methodologies.

A brief presentation on upcoming work was prepared which compounds our work on urban farming and nutrition, waste management and composting, dying and textile crafts, tour-guiding and visitor activities.

Al-Khalifa Park offered a refreshing conclusion, where in the shade of the trees we witnessed the growth and development of the different pilots carried out there.
