Megawra’s library has over 1000 books mostly on architecture, urbanism and art. This library was mostly made possible by the loan and donation of books from individuals and organisations. This is in addition to a collection of architectural magazines and periodicals with fairly comprehensive collections of local publications such as ‘Alam al-Bina’, Medina and Magaz.

We are also setting up a map library focusing on Cairo. This includes cadastral maps from the 1930s and 40s, historical maps from the turn of century and the latest CAPMAS map. Our digital collection can be provided upon request.

Megawra’s library is open to interested persons by appointment. The library  does not loan books.
